The materials controller will take ownership of raw material stock control, ensuring that materials are available when needed and that stock levels are monitored carefully. They will work closely with the factory and purchasing teams to ensure production runs smoothly, with particular attention paid to materials that have long supplier lead times.A consistent four-day working week,

Monday to Thursday.
Working hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, good written and verbal communication, and a current forklift licence.
As a Materials Controller you should be comfortable communicating with different departments, responding to changing production requirements and planning ahead to ensure materials are available when needed.

  • Take responsibility for the receipt and management of all incoming raw materials.
  • Check deliveries against delivery notes and purchase orders, ensuring that quantities and items received are correct.
  • Ensure all raw materials are stored in the appropriate designated areas, following company procedures and health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor raw material stock levels to ensure sufficient materials are available to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all stock movements are recorded promptly.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and assist with stocktaking activities as required.
  • Identify low-stock items and notify the Purchasing team when materials need to be reordered.
