We are recruiting for a Service Maintenance Engineer to join a field based team covering London and the surrounding areas, This role is primarily focused on planned maintenance, reactive service calls and fault-finding across a varied customer portfolio. We are looking for an engineer who understands how fire alarm systems operate, can interrogate systems and work through faults methodically, and takes ownership of delivering an effective resolution rather than simply completing routine testing. Salary - Β£45,000 Monday - Friday 8.30am- 5.30pm with an on call rota every 4 weeks Key Responsibilities: Service and maintain fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839-1:2025, relevant standards and procedures. Attend reactive fault calls, diagnose system issues methodically and complete first-time fixes wherever reasonably possible. Use panel information, event histories, downloads, laptops and relevant software tools to support fault diagnosis. Identify defects, deficiencies and remedial requirements, recording findings clearly and accurately. Produce timely engineer reports and supporting documentation following service visits and call-outs.
