As a pivotal member of our management team, you will embody the essence of Layered Reality, spending a majority of your time in guest facing areas. This dynamic role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, ensuring every day brings new challenges and opportunities. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Duty management of live operations

Scope & Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Facilitate onboarding and training of new team members, coordinate team schedules for optimal productivity, provide ongoing coaching to FOH staff for exceptional service, drive secondary spend initiatives in the venue, ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards, lead sales, events, and in-house promotions.
- Duty Management: Oversee venue opening/closing including FOH & Show spaces, coordinate radio communication between departments, respond to escalations with quick guest resolution, manage box office administration efficiently, cover Ops1 duties as needed, compile daily show reports and sales reports, drive daily sales and guest satisfaction.
- Stock & Ordering: Manage F&B, merchandise, and photo supplies inventory, conduct monthly stock taking and record-keeping, conduct daily line checks on any areas of concern from monthly stock takes, supervise bar restocking and line cleaning.
- Photo & Merchandise: Develop merchandise planograms for optimal sales, ensure compliance with IP standards for all products, generate new merchandise ideas for approval.
Background Experience:
You will be a highly self-motivated, service focused individual, with a wide variety of management experience working across the events & hospitality industries. Previous experience managing FOH & Bar departments in hospitality, theatre, events, entertainment or visitor attractions is preferable.

- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers & partners
- Proficiency in inventory management and ordering supplies
- Experience working with and managing EPOS systems
- The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Excellent presentation skills, maintaining a professional appearance at all times
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance
- Strong problem-solving skills to address customer and operational challenges
- Passionate about the hospitality industry with a strong knowledge of food & beverage operations
- Mixologist experience, with the ability to create new menu content
- Skillset to train and mentor FOH and Bar team members
- Confidence in working as part of a team and independently
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- A personal licence or first aid qualification is desirable but not essential, willingness to undertake these qualifications is a requirement
