We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Alternative Provision Teacher to join our team at The Bucks Goat Centre.
This is a unique and rewarding role combining teaching with hands‑on experiences, animals, outdoor activities and meaningful engagement with people.
What we’re looking for:
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting people
- Experience working with SEND children and adults
- A love of animals and working outdoors
- The ability to tailor teaching sessions to individual needs
- The physical fitness required to support daily animal welfare tasks
- Empathy, patience and a non‑judgemental approach
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
- Creativity and fresh ideas
- Excellent customer service skills
- A good sense of humour!
What the role involves:
Although this is primarily a teaching role, you’ll also support the wider day‑to‑day running of our centre. This may include helping with daily routines, interacting with visitors, supporting animal encounters and experiences, and delivering activities during school holidays.
It’s a varied role where no two days are quite the same — ideal for someone who enjoys being active, creative and working in a unique outdoor environment.
