TVGHG Hospitality is seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team at LABS House, overseeing daily kitchen operations for Cafebotanical Bakery and Cafebotanical\’s lunch & weekend brunch services.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, quality-driven, daytime kitchen.
Job Description
As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in running the kitchen and will take direct responsibility for:
- Staff supervision and daily team leadership
- Prep planning and production management
- Service execution and quality control
- Training and mentoring junior chefs
- Stock control, ordering support and waste reduction
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
- Supporting menu development and new product launches
Working Pattern
Monday–Friday: Breakfast & Lunch
Saturday–Sunday: Brunch
(5 days over 7, daytime-focused operation)
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years\’ experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP
- Background in café, brunch, casual dining or modern restaurant kitchens
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Experience managing prep, service and kitchen systems
- Passion for quality food and high operational standards
- Comfortable with high-volume daytime service
