We are looking for an experienced In‑House Employment Lawyer to join our legal team on a 6‑month contract, supporting the business on a wide range of complex employment law matters. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for a commercially minded employment lawyer who is confident advising senior stakeholders in a fast‑paced, unionised environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on collective employment matters, including trade unions and employee/works councils
- Lead and support on TUPE transfers, restructures and reorganisations
- Manage dismissals, redundancies and employee relations issues
- Provide pragmatic advice across the full spectrum of UK employment law
- Support negotiations and consultation processes with unions and employee representatives
- Work closely with HR, senior leaders and external counsel as required
About You
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with strong in‑house or private practice employment law experience
- Solid background in trade union engagement, works councils, and TUPE
- Confident handling dismissal processes and complex ER issues
- Commercial, pragmatic and comfortable working autonomously
- Prior in‑house experience preferred, but not essential
