Our Client is a UK based digital bank founded in 2015. The business provides fast, flexible financing to scaling companies with £1m – £100m in turnover and supports a wide range of entrepreneurs, property developers and growth businesses. It also offers competitive personal and business savings products, all protected under the UK’s FSCS, and has deployed more than £12bn in funding to UK companies since launch.

The team is experiencing a high volume of work and requires immediate short term support. They are exploring secondee options to manage the increased deal flow and maintain operational momentum.

This opportunity sits within the legal function and focuses on supporting the team across corporate and financial services matters. Reporting to the in house team, the lawyer will be expected to operate autonomously and support a broad range of work types as they arise.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handling corporate matters with a particular focus on M&A activity
  • Taking on financial services related work and advising on relevant regulatory considerations
  • Working with stakeholders across the business as transactions progress
  • Supporting bespoke corporate matters driven by the bank’s deal pipeline
  • Engaging closely with external counsel where needed

They are looking for a 3–4 PQE (flex on this) corporate lawyer with solid financial services experience and a background in M&A. The lawyer should be confident running workstreams independently and comfortable adapting to varied and fast moving matters.

Full time, with a strong preference for at least 4 days per week in the Soho office.
