We’re working with a leading entertainment company who are seeking support from an Employment Legal Counsel for the next 10–12 months on a maternity cover. The role will involve:
- Collaborating with the Global Employment Legal Team to ensure alignment and consistency across all regions
- Acting as primary employment counsel for operations in Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic and Romania, and provide additional support in the UK, Ireland and Switzerland on an ad hoc basis
- Managing day-to-day employment law matters, including hiring, performance management and termination, wage and hour rules, disability accommodation, harassment, discrimination, bullying, contingent worker issues, investigations and related litigation
- Supporting policy reviews and ensure policies are as globally consistent as possible
- Supporting investigations and complex employment matters, liaising with external counsel where required
- Advising on union and works council matters
- Advise on employment and workforce considerations arising in transactions and corporate arrangements
- Employee privacy matters in coordination with the Privacy Team
What skills are required?
- Employment lawyer with 5–7 years’ experience, ideally gained in an in-house environment
- Strong knowledge of employment law across relevant European jurisdictions
- Strong communicator, highly organised, comfortable managing a wide range of matters simultaneously and able to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
