What Will the Role Involve?
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within the EU and UK legal team. The successful candidate will manage complex, novel, and high-profile issues relating to evolving regulations impacting digital services, content, and online safety, particularly in relation to user generated content.
Responsibilities
- Supporting business teams to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving UK and EU platform regulations (including the Digital Services Act (DSA) and Online Safety and Media Regulation frameworks)
- Engaging with regulators and managing regulatory enquiries and investigations in a consistent and strategic manner
- Supervising and supporting junior members of the team
- Collaborating with external counsel and internal integrity teams on proactive compliance measures
- Assessing risk and acting as a trusted adviser to the wider business on compliance and risk management issues.
Skills Required
- Mid to senior-level qualified lawyer
- Strong experience advising on DSA and online safety regulations
- Experience working within a large online platform environment
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting platforms and content creators
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, evolving environments
