We're working with aglobal cloud-based software companywho requireinterim support to cover a replacement for an existing contractor. The lawyer will provide senior employment law expertise during a period that is expected to involve significant employment advisory work, including support on restructuring and redundancy-related projects. The role will involve acting as a senior member of the employment legal team, advising on a broad range of employment law matters across the UK and Ireland, with exposure to wider EMEA issues where required. Key responsibilities are expected to include:
- Providing strategic and day-to-day employment law advice to HR and business stakeholders
- Leading and supporting restructuring and redundancy programmes across relevant jurisdictions
- Advising on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and performance-related issues
- Partnering closely with HR teams on organisational change projects
- Managing employment risk and helping to develop practical commercial solutions
- Supporting cross-border employment law queries across the EMEA region
- Reviewing and advising on employment-related policies, processes and documentation
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external counsel where required
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years' PQE
- Extensive employment law expertise within the UK and Ireland
- Demonstrable experience leading or supporting restructuring and redundancy projects
- Previous in-house legal experience in a commercial environment
- The ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice to senior stakeholders
