About The Role

Location: South Ribble and Chorley

Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Permanent

Salary: £45,091 - £46,142 plus 6% car allowance

Closing Date: 17 May 2026

What You’ll Be Getting Up To:

  • Delivering high-quality legal services across two councils, with a focus on commercial property
  • Advising officers and members on landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions, disposals, and general property matters
  • Drafting and negotiating complex property agreements and documentation
  • Supporting major regeneration and development projects
  • Preparing and advising on reports for Cabinet, Committees, and senior officers
  • Promoting legal compliance and good governance in property transactions
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the effective operation of Legal Services

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified legal professional (LPC, ILEX or equivalent) with a degree
  • Substantial experience in commercial property law, particularly landlord and tenant matters
  • Additional experience in litigation or planning law is desirable
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A proactive team player who takes initiative and responsibility
