We're looking for a senior solicitor who's confident in their judgment, curious by nature, and believes in alternative legal services. At Lawyerly, we've moved away from billable hours and hidden fees, offering small and medium-sized businesses clear, fixed-fee subscriptions instead. Our clients see us as their in-house legal team, on hand when they need us and proactive when it matters. They rely on us for professional advice, practical thinking, and being a trusted partner they can grow with.

This is a fully remote role for someone based in the UK. You'll work independently but closely connected to a small, focused team. You'll take the lead on client matters, help shape how the firm runs day to day, and play a part in how legal services are delivered in a smarter, more human way.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing practical legal advice to SME clients across a broad range of areas (commercial contracts, corporate matters, compliance, employment law, intellectual property, and commercial leases).
  • Drafting and reviewing client documents and contracts, and negotiating agreements, helping businesses move forward with confidence.
  • Offering proactive legal insight to help clients avoid risk and plan strategically.
  • Supporting a mix of clients from different industries.
  • Using AI tools to work more efficiently, and helping bring that mindset into how the firm operates more broadly.
  • Contributing to firm management and helping shape internal processes as the business grows.

What we're looking for:

  • You're a UK-qualified solicitor with 5–10 years PQE and a generalist mindset.
  • You're comfortable switching between different areas of law and finding practical solutions that suit each client's needs.
  • An ideal candidate understands AI and its potential, with experience using AI tools, especially Claude, to enhance workflows.
  • Has exposure to firm management and compliance.
  • Has experience in corporate law.
  • Enjoys working autonomously and taking ownership of their day.
  • Has strong instincts but stays open and collaborative.
  • Communicates clearly, warmly, and without unnecessary legal jargon.
  • Appreciates a flexible, fast-moving environment where new ideas are welcome.

Package: Competitive salary with benefits.
