As a Senior Product Designer at LawVu, you’ll lead the customer experience for LawVu Draft and the journeys that connect it with the wider LawVu platform. Draft joined LawVu through acquisition and is an important part of our vision for reimagining how legal work gets done. You’ll shape its next evolution: creating an intuitive, distinctly LawVu experience and connecting the jobs customers do across drafting, reviewing, contract lifecycle management and the wider LegalOS.

Within your Product Trio, Design leads customer experience and desirability. You’ll work alongside Product, Legal and Engineering from discovery through delivery and iteration, bringing deep customer understanding, rapid exploration and strong design judgement to ensure we build experiences customers value and love to use.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the customer experience
  • Build a deep understanding of how legal teams work and use it to shape a clear experience vision for Draft, balancing near-term improvements with reimagining how legal work could work in the future.
  • Design seamless end-to-end journeys across Draft and LawVu’s wider LegalOS, simplifying complex legal workflows into intuitive, coherent experiences.
  • Drive discovery and design
  • Lead design discovery through customer insight, journey mapping, prototyping, usability testing, data and experimentation.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to frame problems, explore alternatives and make evidence-based trade-offs.
  • Use prototypes to make ideas tangible early, validate assumptions with customers and reduce the time between an idea and meaningful learning.
  • Stay engaged after launch, using customer feedback, behavioural data and product analytics to continuously improve the experience.
  • Apply modern design craft
  • Use AI-assisted design and prototyping tools to increase the speed of exploration, prototyping and validation, while developing a strong point of view on how AI can improve drafting and legal work itself.
  • Set a high bar for interaction design, information architecture, visual quality and accessibility.
  • Use and evolve LawVu’s design system, collaborating closely with designers across our global team, to create consistent cohesive experiences across the LegalOS.

What success looks like…

  • Draft becomes a cohesive part of the LawVu experience, with a clear experience vision and consistently high standard of product design.
  • Customers can move seamlessly between drafting, reviewing, contract management and matter management, with fewer disconnected steps and hand-offs.
  • Complex legal work feels simpler, helping customers complete important jobs more confidently and efficiently.
  • Your work delivers measurable impact, with relevant customer and product measures defined, tracked and improving.
  • You raise the quality of design across LawVu and contribute meaningfully to shared design practices, team OKRs, company goals and our values.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Design, ideally in Legal Tech or complex B2B SaaS.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, from understanding customer problems through to shipped outcomes and iteration.
  • Strong interaction and systems design skills, with the ability to simplify complex workflows.
  • Strong discovery, prototyping and usability testing capability.
  • Fluency with Figma, design systems and modern AI-assisted design tools.
  • Experience working closely with Product Managers and Engineers to shape solutions, not simply execute requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate customer problems, design rationale and trade-offs.
  • Curiosity about legal work and a willingness to develop deep domain expertise.

What sets us apart:

  • Monthly wellness allowance to use on whatever enables you to bring your whole self to work – gym membership, massage, childcare…the list goes on!
  • Health insurance
  • Extended paid parental leave
  • Extra paid day off on your birthday
  • Share options so you can have a piece of the pie
  • Home office allowance set up for remote employees

How to prepare for a job interview at LawVu

Understand the Product Life Cycle

As a product management candidate, we need to get our head around the complete product life cycle. Be prepared to discuss real-world examples of how you’ve managed product development from ideation to launch. Bring specific insights on tools like JIRA or Trello that can help streamline these processes.

Showcase Your Cross-Functional Skills

Product management is all about collaboration. We should be ready to highlight how we’ve worked across teams—think marketing, engineering, and design. Prepare to discuss scenarios where you had to mediate differing opinions and how you got everyone on board with a shared vision.

Prepare for Case Studies

In a full-time role, we can expect to encounter case study questions during our interviews. Practise solving hypothetical product problems on the spot, such as prioritising features for a new app or improving user engagement metrics. This will show our analytical thinking and decision-making skills.

Know Your Metrics

Let’s face it, numbers are our best friends in product management. We should prepare to discuss key performance indicators (KPIs) and how we've used analytics to inform product decisions. Dive into examples where data has driven our strategy for improvements or justified product changes.
