Please note this role requires regular travel to sites surrounding Portsmouth. Founded over 20 years, Lawtech have become a leading principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation. We deliver high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations and regeneration contracts throughout London and the wider Southeast.

Overall purpose of the role: Create drawings, using relevant specifications, where Lawtech design is applicable. Go to site and site office (3-4 days per week) and take surveys, complete photos in order to create drawings. Liaise with Estimating, at construction stage, Commercial and Site management and other relevant departments throughout the life of the project as required to track design and quality issues. Liaise with manufacturers, external structural engineers and architects, as required.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Creation, monitoring and revision of assigned drawings.
  • Liaison with manufacturers and project teams including distribution of relevant documentation.
  • Respond to technical queries and make recommendations to fix problems.
  • Respond to ad hoc problems and raise with D&Q manager accordingly.
  • Occasionally assist with site inspections to monitor and manage technical quality of works and ensure they are carried out as per specifications and manufacturers’ recommendations.
  • Ensure information is available for site set up in line with Lawtech requirements, from job start to close.
  • Assist D&Q manager with training and advising site management and subcontractors as required.
  • As advised by D&Q manager, visit sites on a planned and ad hoc basis.
  • Measure and monitor delivery of KPIs for site management and subcontractors.
  • Attend regular meetings with site teams, as required.
  • Ensure updated information for subcontractor database is passed to procurement and ordering.
  • Collate relevant information for relevant standards to pass to client and funder as appropriate.
  • Make recommendations for changes, to D&Q manager.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering or Architect related studies or equivalent experience.
  • CSCS card basic level.
  • Facades experience, EWI, cladding, rainscreen experience is essential.
  • Competent user of MS Excel, MS Word, Project Probe, Microsoft Outlook email and calendars.
  • Expert AutoCAD user (3D AutoCAD/SketchUp/Revit optional).
