The Procurement Manager’s role is to negotiate and procure sub-contractors and maintain good subcontractor relationships. They manage and monitor the procurement processes across Lawtech and work closely with Commercial and Site teams.

Founded over 20 years, Lawtech have become a leading principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation. We deliver high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations & regeneration contracts throughout London and the wider Southeast.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, coach and appraise the Procurement Team and ensure that they are aware of correct processes and procedures.
  • Creation, management, and monitoring of procurement processes for all sites.
  • Development and Maintenance of supply chain database and expanding the supply chain.
  • Building strong working relationships with potential Sub-Contractors.
  • Manage tasks in good time exceeding the agreed procurement schedule and budget.
  • Negotiation and placement of timely sub-contractor orders.
  • Agreement of terms with subcontractors.
  • Maintenance of preferred supplier lists and current pricing information.
  • Maintenance of current information on Lawtech’s systems including Probe and relevant accounts system.
  • Working with Sub-Contractors to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Regular communication with supply chain including a 2-way feedback process.
  • Standardisation of ordering and requisition procedures across sites around UK as appropriate.
  • Set up, maintenance and training of Lawtech staff to ensure procurement and ordering processes across the business are effective and efficient.
  • Provide analytical reports including monthly board report.
  • Liaison when required and necessary with our PQQ/Tender processes.
  • Management and review of action lists.
  • Attending interdepartmental meetings to improve communication, systems and process.

Skills And Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Procurement Manager role.
  • Experience working alongside sub contractors is essential.
  • Construction Management experience.
  • Microsoft competent (Excel, Office etc).
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines.
  • Goal driven.
