This is a full time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Hove. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy to grow Lawspeed’s client base within the recruitment and staffing sector as well as extend take up on the Proterms innovation.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:
- Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
- Managing inbound and outbound sales activities
- Conducting consultative sales conversations with owners and leaders of recruitment businesses
- Building and maintaining long‑term client relationships
- Preparing and delivering proposals and presentations
- Working closely with legal and consultancy colleagues to align client needs with service offerings
- Monitoring market trends
- Maintaining accurate CRM records
- Providing regular sales forecasts and performance reports to leadership
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in professional, digital (SAAS) services, or the recruitment sector, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong skills in prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals, including confidence in outbound calling and consultative selling
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to explain complex concepts clearly to non‑legal audiences
- Comfortable working with CRM systems and basic sales analytics to track activity, forecast revenue and inform decisions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including legal and consultancy professionals, while working independently to manage day‑to‑day priorities
- Understanding of, or strong interest in, learning about recruitment industry operations, compliance and relevant UK legal frameworks (e.g. IR35, agency regulations)
- Organised, detail‑oriented and reliable, with strong time‑management skills
- Relevant education or professional qualifications in business, sales, marketing or a related field are beneficial but not essential when supported by suitable experience
