Main Responsibilities – Assist with the safe and efficient operation of timber machining and cutting equipment within the mill. Support experienced team members with timber preparation, processing, finishing, and packing orders for customers and trade accounts. Follow instruction to carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and work areas, ensuring excellent housekeeping at all times. Prepare and handle timber products accurately, ensuring high standards of quality, sizing, and presentation. Work safely at all times, adhering to company health and safety procedures, wearing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any hazards or near misses. Assist with stock checking, receiving deliveries, and maintaining accurate records of materials and processed orders. Support in meeting daily production targets and contribute to team goals for efficiency and customer satisfaction. Proactively undertake any training provided, learning new processes and skills as required.
