Operating since 1921, Lawsons continues to deliver quality materials and exceptional service from its 35 branches throughout London and the South East.
Telesales Job Opportunity
As a Telesales professional, you will be the first point of contact for both trade and retail customers. Through engaging, effective communication over the phone and at the trade counter, you will help us achieve our branch sales targets, foster new business relationships, and provide expert product advice and support to our valued clients.
Branch Location & Working Hours
- Location: Tyttenhanger Farm, Coursers Rd, St Albans, AL4 0PG.
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 07.30 – 17.00, plus every alternate Saturday 08.00 – 12.00 (44.5 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities – Telesales & Customer Service
- Actively pursue sales opportunities to help meet and exceed branch sales, margin, and gross profit goals.
- Handle inbound trade counter and telephone sales enquiries, offering knowledgeable advice and accurate quotations.
- Make outbound calls to prospective clients to generate leads and increase new business.
- Develop strong professional relationships with new and existing customers to encourage repeat business.
- Provide outstanding levels of customer service, promptly handling queries in a pleasant and efficient manner.
- Identify and source specialist materials as required, ensuring customer needs are met using approved channels.
- Maintain high standards of trade counter presentation and comply with company audit requirements.
- Support stock counts and stock merchandising to maintain product availability and reduce loss.
- Share market and customer feedback with management to improve services and product offerings.
