We are now seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Branch Manager to join our Salfods branch and help drive our success in the heart of the local building materials market.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and proactive individual with experience in builders’ merchants, trade sales, or branch operations. As an Assistant Branch Manager in Salfods, you will work closely with the Branch Manager and the wider team, ensuring outstanding customer service, efficient branch operations, and continued business growth. Working Hours

This is a full-time, permanent role. Standard working pattern is 44.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00, with 1 in 3 Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Branch Manager with day-to-day running of the Salfods branch to deliver excellent service and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise, motivate, and develop the team, promoting a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Assist with customer service across trade counter, yard, and telesales functions.
  • Oversee stock management, ordering, and deliveries to ensure product availability and high branch standards.
  • Drive branch sales by identifying new business opportunities and supporting promotional activities.
  • Support safe working practices and ensure compliance with all health.
