Role Overview: Digital Marketing Executive
We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented Digital Marketing Executive to join our team. As the largest independent Timber, Building Materials & Fencing merchant in London and the South East — with over a century of industry heritage — we are continuing to expand our digital presence. This role is integral to supporting our growth through strategic execution across email marketing, social media, SEO, and content development.

Working Hours & Location
- Full-time hybrid position based at our Whetstone branch.
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4.30pm.
- This is an office-based role with occasional flexibility depending on business need.
Key Responsibilities in Digital Marketing
Email Marketing
- Manage audience segmentation and maintain accurate mailing lists
- Develop engaging email content aligned with brand messaging
- Design responsive email templates
- Implement and manage email automation and CRM integrations
Social Media Marketing
- Develop and execute platform-specific content strategies
- Create high-quality visuals and multimedia assets (proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva required)
- Analyse campaign performance and compile actionable reports
- Increase brand visibility and foster audience engagement
Blog Content & SEO
- Plan, write, and publish compelling blog content
- Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices
- Align content with marketing calendars and campaign objectives
- Oversee content layout to ensure clarity, engagement, and optimisation
E-Commerce (preferred)
- Experience managing product listings and content on Magento 2 is essential
- Familiarity with WooCommerce or similar platforms is preferred
Qualifications and Experience for SEO and Digital Marketing
- Previous experience in a digital marketing or similar online marketing environment (essential).
- Demonstrable knowledge of digital marketing channels: SEO, pay-per-click advertising, and social media management.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms and basic HTML is advantageous.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Keen to learn, share ideas, and positively contribute to a team environment.
- Degree or relevant qualification in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related subject preferred but not essential.
- Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with suppliers, agencies, and internal teams
