Telesales and Counter Sales Opportunity – Join Our AVS Lewes Team
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our AVS Lewes branch, bringing high standards of customer service and sales expertise to both our telesales and trade counter operations. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role within a respected builders’ merchant and develop your career in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Working Hours
This is a full-time position with a 44.5-hour workweek, Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00, and alternate Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00.

Main Responsibilities – Telesales & Counter Sales Roles
- Provide outstanding customer service both on the telephone (inbound and outbound) and face-to-face at the trade counter.
- Previous sales experience within a builders’ merchant, trade counter, or similar retail environment (essential)
- Accurately process customer orders and quotations for a wide range of building materials
- Respond actively to customer enquiries, offering informed advice and product recommendations
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Identify sales opportunities and upsell relevant products to meet customer needs
- Maintain high standards of branch presentation, stock levels, and compliance
- Assist with follow-ups on leads, sales promotions, and branch marketing initiatives
- Support teamwork and continuous improvement within the branch
- Uphold all health and safety policies and ensure safe working practices
- Strong telephone, written, and face-to-face communication skills
- Consultative approach with a passion for providing excellent service
- Confidence in working with targets and drive to achieve branch ambitions
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and teamwork ethos
- Attention to detail and efficient organisation skills
- Keen to learn about new products and systems (full training will be provided)
