Brendan Kearney & Co Solicitors is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Legal Secretary to join its busy and expanding Medical Negligence Department.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide essential support to solicitors handling medical negligence claims and will play a key role in the progression of cases from inception to conclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting solicitors with the management of medical negligence files.
  • Drafting correspondence, legal documents and court papers.
  • Liaising with clients, medical experts, healthcare providers and third parties.
  • Obtaining, reviewing and organising medical records and other evidential documentation.
  • Preparing briefs, chronologies and case summaries.
  • Managing diaries, court deadlines and appointments.
  • Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  • Providing a high standard of client care at all times.
  • Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary within a law firm.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
