Become A Board Member of Extern Lead Change that Lasts. Extern is a well-established community and voluntary organisation delivering vital services across the island for 50 years. With over 550 staff supporting more than 22,000 people each year, we work in partnership with government departments and public-sector agencies to reach individuals and communities facing some of life’s most difficult challenges. Every day, we walk alongside those who need us most, offering dignity, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves hope and the opportunity to rebuild.
As a Board Member, you will guide and support the organisation at the highest level, ensuring we remain courageous, compassionate, and ambitious in everything we do. Based on a recent skillset audit of our current board members, this role is ideal for someone who has experience of or a background in one or more of the following areas:
- Finance
- IT/Cyber Security
- CSR
- Human Resources
- Legal
