We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Academic Counsellor to support students in achieving their educational goals. The successful candidate will provide personalised guidance, academic planning, and mentorship to help students navigate their learning journey effectively. Responsibilities

  • Offer personalised academic advice and counselling to students, helping them select appropriate courses and programmes.
  • Assist students in setting realistic academic goals and developing strategies to achieve them.
  • Monitor student progress and provide ongoing support to address challenges or concerns.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure students receive the necessary resources and guidance for success.
  • Organise workshops or seminars on study skills, time management, and career planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Support students in understanding academic policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Foster a positive and motivating environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in teaching or educational counselling is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Organised, empathetic, and able to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Knowledge of academic programmes, curriculum structures, and student support services is advantageous.
  • A recognised qualification in education or counselling will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team dedicated to student success.
