We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Lawrie Vets on a full‑time basis. At the Lawrie Veterinary Group, part of IVC Evidensia, we are looking for a dedicated and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our expanding team. We operate across multiple locations including Cumbernauld, Falkirk, Laurieston, and Bo'ness, offering comprehensive veterinary care to all creatures great and small, furred, feathered and scaled!
The practice is well equipped for imaging (including dental radiography and endoscopy), surgery, lab work and the hospitalisation and care of our small animal and exotic patients. We also have expansion and improvement plans for the future underway. How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
The position is full‑time, working Monday‑Friday including weekend shifts on a rota basis (generally 1 in 4 weekends). General responsibilities include:
- Assisting veterinary surgeons with procedures
- Medical nursing of our varied caseload
- Laboratory work
- Nurse consultations
- Anaesthesia management
Experience/Interest in exotic species would be desirable, but not essential as plenty of support and training will be provided. Our nurses also play a vital role in preventative and holistic healthcare for our patients through their daily RVN clinics.
