Who We Are

At Lawrie Vet Group, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional veterinary care with a strong focus on clinical excellence, continuity, and client relationships. As part of the IVC Evidensia network, we maintain our local, community practice ethos while benefiting from the support and resources of a larger veterinary group. We see a variety of patients including exotic species, and have dedicated vets who deal with our exotic care. While you won’t be expected to lead on exotic cases, there are opportunities to gain experience and training if you have an interest in learning more. With modern facilities, advanced diagnostic equipment, and a skilled nursing team, we offer the perfect environment for veterinary surgeons who want to grow their clinical skills and pursue their interests.

The Role

As a Veterinary Surgeon at Lawrie Vet Group, you will:

  • Manage a varied caseload including routine consultations, surgery, and diagnostics
  • Work alongside a supportive team including certificate holders and experienced nurses
  • Have opportunities to pursue your clinical interests and develop professionally
  • Enjoy a strong work-life balance with a fair rota and minimal OOH (if any)

What We’re Looking For

A qualified MRCVS with a passion for high-quality patient care, an interest in exotic species is welcome but not essential - training and support available through our dedicated exotic vet. A team player who communicates clearly and compassionately with clients and colleagues. 40 hours a week, hours are on a rota basis, inpatients evening and weekend cover is included in weekly hours.

Because our people matter

We recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business. Investing in our people, premises and processes is at the heart of what we do. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will benefit from:
