Lawrie Cornish, a Communications and Public Relations agency, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Account Executive to join its creative and successful PR team. Lawrie Cornish specialises in property, lifestyle and hospitality communications and PR, representing some of the world’s largest and most successful developers, agents and brands. We are a full service PR & Marketing Communications agency with a combined 50+ years of experience.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, passionate about writing, in both long form and for social media, communicative, with a positive attitude, who has some basic work experience, ideally in a customer facing role, and who wishes to explore and develop a career in PR and marketing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the team to support client accounts on a daily basis
  • Assisting the senior team in day-to-day admin tasks that arise: contact reports, research, file admin, etc.
  • Manage the core press list and assume responsibility for ensuring it’s up-to date
  • Assisting the senior team in the day-to-day management of social media channels for client accounts
  • Drafting press releases, editorial and advertorials for the client
  • Helping to prepare social media content plans
  • Contribute to planning meetings and brainstorm creative story-led and content-based ideas for clients
  • Assisting with the organisation of events and exhibitions
  • Attending journalist briefings and client meetings
  • Generating excellent press coverage in UK and overseas media

Essential skills:

  • Good written English and communication skills
  • Must be familiar with basic MS packages – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must have working familiarity with social media channels – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Personable, communicative and engaging
  • Interest in property, interior design and lifestyle comms
