We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Lawrence Veterinary Centre on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Lawrence Veterinary Centre is a friendly, experienced and enthusiastic first opinion practice based on the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border.

We are a supportive small animal practice where exceptional client and patient care are at the forefront of everything we do, alongside a strong focus on high clinical standards.

You’ll be joining a dedicated team of 10 Veterinary Surgeons, including certificate holders in cardiology and feline medicine, 11 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 VCA and a dedicated team of receptionists and support colleagues.

We pride ourselves on our close-knit team culture, with many members of the team having been with the practice for over 10 years.

  • How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

  • Working Pattern
  • 40 hours per week
  • 5-day working week, shifts between 7:45am and 7:30pm
  • 1 in 6 Saturday mornings, 8:30am to 1:00pm
  • No OOH
  • General Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
  • Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery
  • Run nurse consultations and contribute to preventative healthcare and client education
