Solicitor

Role Description

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years’ experience to join our busy and growing Borrowers’ team that sits within the wider Real Estate Finance department. This is a permanent position and a great opportunity to work within a varied practice to gain valuable experience.

The role will include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:

1. Acting on Real Estate Finance transactions from start to finish for Borrowers on both a ‘sole rep’ and ‘dual rep’ basis.
2. Acting on both purchases and refinances of residential BTL properties.
3. Acting on bridging finance and auction transactions.
4. Reviewing and reporting on security documents.
5. Analysing title documents and legal descriptions of property and preparing reports on title.
6. Proactively keeping clients informed of progress on all transactions.
7. Participating in continuous Business Development.

Qualifications

1. At least two years’ PQE working in a highly functioning Real Estate Finance team
2. Previous experience working with Borrowers preferred
3. Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a busy team
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Quick learner and comfortable asking questions
6. Organised, efficient and able to prioritise workloads with competing deadlines
7. Excellent written communication and editing skills; able to write accurate, concise and persuasive text
8. Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel
