Trainee Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Trainee Manager to join our team and support the overall management of the store. In this role, you will help drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and lead a high-performing team. You\'ll gain hands-on management experience while developing your leadership skills and contributing to the financial success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, motivate, and manage staff effectively to achieve high performance
  • Train and develop team members to deliver excellent service and meet operational standards
  • Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels

Store Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain store standards, including customer service, health & safety, and food hygiene
  • Manage stock, including stock counts, waste, and special offers
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and security procedures
  • Maintain accurate administration and reporting in line with company procedures

Sales & Profitability

  • Maximise sales and profitability through effective staff management and operational control
  • Monitor and control costs to meet financial targets
  • Ensure offers and promotions are managed and communicated correctly

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in TAP training and compliance management
  • Support SRS communication and reporting
  • Lead by example as a hands-on manager

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in management is preferred but not essential—training provided

Schedule & Requirements

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Shifts including 8–10 hour shifts, overtime, and weekend availability
  • Location: Preston (must be able to commute reliably or relocate before starting)
  • Education: GCSE or equivalent preferred
  • Experience: 3 years in management preferred
  • Licence/Certification: Personal Licence preferred
