Trainee Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Trainee Manager to join our team and support the overall management of the store. In this role, you will help drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and lead a high-performing team. You\’ll gain hands-on management experience while developing your leadership skills and contributing to the financial success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and manage staff effectively to achieve high performance
- Train and develop team members to deliver excellent service and meet operational standards
- Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
Store Operations & Compliance
- Maintain store standards, including customer service, health & safety, and food hygiene
- Manage stock, including stock counts, waste, and special offers
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and security procedures
- Maintain accurate administration and reporting in line with company procedures
Sales & Profitability
- Maximise sales and profitability through effective staff management and operational control
- Monitor and control costs to meet financial targets
- Ensure offers and promotions are managed and communicated correctly
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in TAP training and compliance management
- Support SRS communication and reporting
- Lead by example as a hands-on manager
Skills & Qualities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in management is preferred but not essential—training provided

Schedule & Requirements
- Full-time, permanent position
- Shifts including 8–10 hour shifts, overtime, and weekend availability
- Location: Preston (must be able to commute reliably or relocate before starting)
- Education: GCSE or equivalent preferred
- Experience: 3 years in management preferred
- Licence/Certification: Personal Licence preferred
