A UK based start-up is looking for a Senior Robotics Engineer to join their team and support the development and integration of robotics capabilities across their platform. The role spans simulation to real-world multi-robot systems, teleoperation and telepresence, real-time data visualisation, and fleet-level management - helping roboticists, developers, and enterprises deploy robots faster and more reliably.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate in designing, developing, and maintaining the platform roadmap
- Build and maintain drivers, interfaces, and protocol bridges for ROS2 and non-ROS robots
- Integrate a wide range of robots, sensors, and actuators into the platform
- Develop features for: teleoperation & telepresence (low-latency, safety, failovers) and Real-time telemetry, diagnostics, and fleet-level coordination
- Support simulation-to-reality workflows and ensure fidelity between sim and real hardware
- Test, validate, and tune systems on both simulated and live robots
- Create tutorials, documentation, and demo applications to enable users at all levels
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex robotics issues
- Align implementation with platform architecture and contribute to long-term robotics strategy
What They’re Looking For:
- 4+ years in robotics R&D or applied robotics engineering
- Degree in Robotics, Engineering, CS or similar
- Hands-on with ROS2, robot hardware integration and simulation tools (Gazebo/IsaacSim)
- Strong understanding of robotics systems: perception, control, autonomy, or fleet coordination
- Comfortable moving from prototypes to production-ready systems
- Confident troubleshooting across software and hardware
Nice to Have:
- Teleoperation, telepresence, or remote robot control experience
- Fleet management / multi-robot system exposure
- Open-source robotics contributions
- Familiarity with safety-critical robotics
