You will be working within a Cloud-Native Payments Platform that is built for speed, scale and resilience, experimenting with one of the most exciting tech stacks globally; whilst working in an environment that has bank-grade security and reliability.
Some of the things you will do:
- Build and maintain defensive security controls across multi-cloud payment environments.
- Continuously strengthen infrastructure and application security through monitoring, hardening, and automation.
- Identify and mitigate emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack paths.
- Partner with engineers to embed security-by-design and recommend practical protections.
- Manage and optimize security controls for performance, readiness, and effectiveness.
- Maintain security baselines, playbooks, and detections for consistent defence.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Deep hands-on Kubernetes expertise, used daily in production environments.
- Strong Linux engineering and troubleshooting skills, applied in day-to-day operations.
- Proven cloud platform experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (multi-cloud exposure ideal).
- Solid background in security engineering, design, and architecture for complex systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Desirable:
- If you have worked in a scale-up AND established financial services/FinTech environment.
- A background OR interest in Offensive Security, Red Teaming, CTF.
- Certifications (advantageous):
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
- Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE)
- Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
