Role: SharePoint Designer / Admin
Contract Length: 13 - 15 days
Location: Remote - initial 3 days in London to gather the requirements - expenses covered
Day rate: £300 - £350 (outside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP - we can only consider immediately available candidates. This assignment cannot be done part time or alongside other assignments.
About the role:
This is not a heavy development role. The client needs someone hands-on across SharePoint administration, document libraries, permissions, workflows, site/page design and stakeholder requirements gathering. The consultant will work with senior stakeholders to understand the current setup, review how documents are stored and tagged, and deliver practical improvements to the SharePoint environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the current SharePoint structure, document libraries, workflows, permissions and user access.
- Gather requirements from senior stakeholders and translate them into practical improvements.
- Improve SharePoint pages/sites to make them clearer and more user-friendly.
- Configure document libraries, including tagging, metadata, folders, views and content types.
- Review and update security, permissions and access controls.
- Support workflow configuration, including approvals, document routing and basic automation.
- Provide recommendations, handover and basic documentation where required.
Required Experience
- Experience as a SharePoint Administrator, Designer, Consultant or Microsoft 365 Consultant.
- Strong SharePoint Online experience across sites, pages, document libraries and permissions.
- Good knowledge of document management, metadata, tagging and content types.
- Experience with workflows, ideally using SharePoint workflow tools or Power Automate.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders (very important).
- Able to work independently and deliver within a short-term engagement.
