A global organisation who operates a major network of tank container and logistics service facilities across the UK is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team and support end-to-end payroll processing, activities and reporting, as well as providing a leading hand in day-to-day administration topics. This is a really good opportunity to join a very close knit, supportive team with lots of room for development and growth. It is a permanent, hybrid role, and you will be required to work from their Manchester office 2-3 days a week, depending on their requirements.
The successful applicant will:
- Process end-to-end payroll
- Carry out manual payroll calculations, including statutory payments and deductions
- Manage starters, leavers and payroll amendments
- Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies
- Work closely with HR and Finance to maintain accurate employee records
- Respond to payroll queries from employees
- Support year-end payroll activities and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll
- Dayforce or Ceridian experience
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC regulations
- Confidence completing manual payroll calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and Excel skills
- Experience using payroll systems
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
Highly Desirable:
- CIPP qualification (or studying towards it) is a bonus
