A multinational retail/consumer goods giant are recruiting for a Privacy Counsel to join their UK Legal function. This role will also work closely with a well-established group/global privacy team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business functions on projects to identify privacy risks
  • Advise on privacy considerations relating to uses of emerging technologies (e.g. facial recognition, AI, customer journey tracking etc.)
  • Conduct DPIAs, LIAs, TIAs etc.
  • Monitor relevant regulatory developments, assessing their potential impact on the business
  • Support company-wide privacy training & awareness programmes

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer, c. 5-7 PQE (with flexibility either side of this requirement)
  • Prior experience working in specialist privacy/data protection legal roles is essential
  • Open to both in-house & private practice backgrounds
  • Prior OneTrust experience is desirable
