Location: Remote (UK/Europe preferred)
Contract: 12 months (until August 2026)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Dayforce Functional SME to join a large-scale Dayforce implementation program. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between the implementation partner (responsible for configuration and delivery) and the internal HR/Operations team.
This is not a technical configuration role, you will act as the functional subject matter expert, providing guidance, insight, and upskilling to ensure the client team is equipped to adopt and embed Dayforce effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the functional Dayforce expert, advising the client team on platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
- Support requirement gathering, testing, and UAT phases to ensure solution alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate closely with the implementation partner to translate functional requirements into delivery outcomes.
- Communicate clearly what Dayforce can and cannot do, setting realistic expectations with stakeholders.
- Upskill and mentor the client\’s HR and Operations team to build their knowledge of Dayforce modules.
- Assist in identifying risks, gaps, and limitations early, and propose pragmatic workarounds.
- Support change management, adoption, and readiness activities.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dayforce Functional SME, with deep knowledge across Core HR, Talent, Onboarding, WFM, and Payroll modules.
- Strong understanding of how Dayforce functions in practice – including system constraints and configuration implications.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence and build trust with non-technical HR/Operations teams.
- Experience supporting large-scale HRIS implementations through testing, UAT, training, and go-live support.
- Ability to upskill and coach small internal teams with no prior Dayforce experience.
- Collaborative mindset – able to partner effectively with both client-side and implementation partner teams.
