Data Protection Officer – FTSE250 Business

3 days a week in office in Canary Wharf, London

Up to £125,000 + car allowance + bonus + benefits

An industry leading FTSE250 business are recruiting for a Data Protection Officer to join them on a permanent basis in their Canary Wharf office in London. In this role you will inherit an existing solid data protection programme, and will be given the opportunity to improve where possible. This role also has built-in progression, with the potential to progress to a more international Group DPO role further down the line.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage & enhance the existing data protection programme
  • Potential to take responsibility for the business\’ AI governance framework
  • Deliver pragmatic advice across the business to maximise compliance, while balancing with business objectives
  • Hands-on involvement in data protection operations – i.e. DPIAs, DSARs, training, ROPAs etc.
  • Line management of 1x Data Protection Apprentice

Requirements:

  • Prior DPO experience in another B2B environment is highly desire (i.e. prior DP experience in companies that predominantly deal with employee & client/vendor data)
  • Pragmatic approach to providing data protection advice
  • Strong communication skills & resilience
