A growing technology business are looking to recruit a Commercial Counsel for a 10 month maternity cover appointment (running until mid May 2027). This role will report directly into the firm's General Counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Commercial Leadership: Lead the commercial contracting function, providing end-to-end legal support across global markets including the UK, US, Europe, and APAC.
- Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of complex commercial agreements (SaaS and affiliate marketing agreements).
- Business Partnership: Act as a strategic advisor to Sales and Business Development teams, managing high-pressure, time-sensitive deal cycles.
- Process Optimization: Continuously audit and improve legal infrastructure, including contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and internal workflows to increase departmental velocity.
Requirements:
- Ideally 5+ years PQE as a Commercial Counsel
- Prior experience in drafting/reviewing/negotiating SaaS and/or affiliate marketing agreements is highly desired
- Prior experience working on a global/international scale is desired
