I’m excited to be working with an exceptional team who are building a decentralised marketplace for cloud compute, rethinking how global infrastructure is provisioned by enabling anyone to contribute unused compute into an open, permissionless network. Their mission is to challenge traditional cloud monopolies by creating a resilient, open-source alternative designed to operate at global scale, leveraging decentralised architecture and blockchain-backed guarantees around reliability and security.
They’re now looking for a Staff-level Software Engineer to play a key role in designing and building the core systems that power this distributed cloud platform. This includes working on blockchain-backed reliability mechanisms, provider orchestration, networking layers, and operational pipelines that must remain robust under adversarial conditions, hardware heterogeneity, and real-world failure modes. Working primarily in Golang, you’ll build and operate large-scale distributed systems on top of Kubernetes, collaborating closely with engineers across infrastructure, DevOps, and protocol teams. This role carries significant influence over architectural decisions, scalability strategies, and the long-term technical direction of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build highly reliable distributed systems powering a decentralised cloud compute platform.
- Develop and operate production systems in Golang, with a strong focus on scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance.
- Contribute to provider orchestration, networking, and operations pipelines across a heterogeneous global network.
