An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Website & SEO Officer to join a charity on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in an exciting website redevelopment project while helping to increase supporter engagement, volunteer recruitment and fundraising through effective digital marketing.
Working closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and wider fundraising and communications teams, you will take ownership of website content, SEO performance and content optimisation, ensuring the organisation's website delivers an engaging, user-friendly experience while supporting its wider digital marketing strategy.
Job Overview- Manage and maintain website content, ensuring it is accurate, engaging, and user-friendly
- Lead the content audit and support the migration from WordPress to a new CMS platform
- Optimise website content and structure to improve SEO, user journeys, and online engagement
- Support the delivery of digital campaigns alongside fundraising and communications teams
- Monitor website and campaign performance using Google Analytics, CRM systems, and other digital reporting tools
- Analyse performance data and identify opportunities to improve engagement and conversion
- Ensure all digital content aligns with the organisation's brand, tone of voice, and values
- Assist with wider digital marketing activities including email marketing, social media, and content creation when required
- Previous experience managing websites and implementing SEO best practice
- Experience maintaining websites using WordPress, Umbraco, or a similar CMS
- Proven experience supporting website redevelopment or migration projects
- Strong understanding of SEO, digital marketing, content optimisation, and user journeys
- Experience using Google Analytics, CRM systems, and digital performance reporting
- Excellent written communication and content creation skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
- Β£34,000 β Β£35,000 per annum depends on experience
- Hybrid working (minimum two days per week in the Stevenage office)
