Production Operative Position available with a small productive team based in Stevenage
Working Hours :Monday Friday 8.45am 17.15pm (with one hour lunch break)Job type : Temp to Perm Opportunity
A well-established, fast-growing and highly respected manufacturing business is seeking a proactive and reliable Production Operative to join their expanding team.
This is a varied and hands-on position that is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being busy, taking ownership of their work and stepping up to support different areas when needed.
The successful candidate will be an all-rounder , comfortable working independently, using initiative and taking on additional tasks as the business grows.
Job Overview
- Picking and packing orders for dispatch (manual lifting up to 25kg)
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Stock movement and organisation
- Checking and processing incoming and outgoing paperwork
- Liquid and powder blending, re-packing and spray-drying (full training provided)
- Working with food ingredients and flavouring chemicals (COSHH training provided)
- Cleaning and jet-washing equipment to maintain high hygiene standards
- Wearing appropriate PPE in production areas
- Supporting with additional warehouse or production tasks as required
This role requires someone comfortable working in an environment that may include noise, strong smells and a fast-paced workload.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment
- Good attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Computer literate with good numeracy skills
- Counterbalance forklift licence advantageous (or willingness to obtain)
- Proactive, hands-on and solution-focused approach
- Able to work independently and take initiative
