A high-profile Hertfordshire based estate is seeking an experienced and personable Estate Property Manager to join its thriving property division. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and relationship-focused property professional to join a forward-thinking family business with a strong heritage and commitment to community, sustainability, and excellence.

The Estate Property Manager will play a key customer-facing role, managing a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties across the estate. Responsibilities will include lettings, tenant liaison, property inspections, maintenance coordination, compliance, and rent reviews across more than 200 properties. Working closely with the Head of Property, the Estate Property Manager will help deliver a first-class service focused on tenant satisfaction, long-term relationships, and maintaining high standards across the portfolio.

As Estate Property Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of residential and commercial properties, ensuring the smooth running of lettings, renewals, maintenance, and tenant communications. You will coordinate viewings, tenancy documentation, lease renewals, inventories, inspections, and compliance requirements, while supporting rent reviews and planned maintenance programmes. This role would suit a proactive and detail-oriented property professional who enjoys building strong relationships, working collaboratively, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare letting particulars for available properties
  • Coordinate and undertake property viewings
  • Manage applications, references, statutory checks, and tenancy documentation
  • Arrange lease and licence agreements
  • Carry out lease renewals, re-negotiations, and end-of-tenancy procedures
  • Conduct inventories and pre-tenancy checks
  • Build and maintain strong tenant relationships
  • Resolve tenant queries and requests efficiently
  • Conduct property inspections and support rent reviews
  • Ensure compliance records are maintained across the portfolio
  • Liaise with contractors and the Buildings & Facilities Team regarding maintenance works
  • Arrange planned maintenance and compliance works
  • Maintain accurate records using property management software
  • Support high tenant retention through excellent customer service
  • Conduct boundary inspections where required

About You

The successful Estate Property Manager will have:

  • Previous residential property or lettings management experience
  • Knowledge of residential property legislation and compliance requirements
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Experience managing residential tenancies
  • A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
