Production Operative – Lilley | Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm | £28,000 | Permanent Opportunity

About the Company

Responsibilities

  • Mixing spices and seasonings using industrial mixing equipment
  • Operating and monitoring packing machinery
  • Working across two mixing stations and two production lines
  • Packing finished products accurately and efficiently
  • Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving boxes and sacks up to 25kg
  • Carrying out product and packaging quality checks
  • Cleaning mixers, machinery, and production areas following use
  • Supporting stock movement and material handling activities
  • Completing production records and basic computer-based tasks
  • Following food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
  • Supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assisting with general production and warehouse duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or food production experience is advantageous
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
  • Basic IT skills
  • Positive and proactive approach to work
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Desirable:

  • Forklift Counterbalance Licence
  • Forklift Reach Truck Licence
  • Experience operating production machinery
  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
