This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and well-established business in Bishop’s Stortford. Working within a friendly and supportive team, you'll play a key role in supporting customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure new business opportunities are progressed efficiently. This role would suit an organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced office environment.

As a New Business Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Providing quotations and finance rates to suppliers
  • Managing incoming enquiries via telephone and email
  • Logging and updating customer information on internal systems
  • Advising suppliers of credit decisions and next steps
  • Chasing outstanding information and updates on business proposals
  • Supporting the onboarding and setup of new customer accounts
  • Generating reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Liaising with multiple internal departments to ensure deals progress smoothly
  • Resolving queries and delivering a high standard of customer service
  • Supporting the wider sales operation and providing administrative assistance where required

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience within a customer service, administration, sales support, or account management role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident building relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong IT skills, including experience using CRM or database systems
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and customer-focused attitude
