Job Overview
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job specifications
- Producing bespoke sheet metal components and templates from customer designs
- Cutting, folding and fabricating sheet metal to required specifications
- Creating and preparing tooling for manufacture
- Operating a range of workshop machinery including press brake, laser and fabrication equipment
- Carrying out TIG and MIG welding where required
- Supporting bespoke and prototype projects through to production handover
- Working to high quality standards in a fast‑paced engineering environment
- Maintaining a safe and organised working area
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience within Sheet Metal Fabrication / General Fabrication is essential
- Strong hands‑on engineering background – practical ability is key
- Competent in reading and working from technical drawings
- Experience with cutting, folding, fabrication and tooling creation
- TIG and MIG welding experience required, robotic welding exposure advantageous
- Comfortable working on bespoke, varied projects rather than repetitive production work
- Able to work independently and maintain high standards under pressure
