We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Dispatch Operative to join a busy manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a friendly and supportive team, helping to ensure products are picked, packed and dispatched efficiently.
About the Role
As a Temporary Dispatch Operative, you will play a key role in the warehouse and dispatch function, ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately, stock is managed effectively, and deliveries leave on time.
This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role requiring excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Duties will include
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Preparing goods for dispatch
- Labelling and packaging products accurately
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Booking shipments with couriers
- Completing dispatch paperwork and delivery documentation
- Carrying out stock checks and assisting with stock control
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse
- Supporting general warehouse and dispatch duties as required
- Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous warehouse, dispatch, stores or logistics experience
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and punctual approach
- Comfortable undertaking manual handling duties
- Basic IT skills
Desirable
- Counterbalance or Reach Forklift Licence
- Experience using warehouse management systems or handheld scanners
- Previous manufacturing or distribution experience
