Are you a reliable and hardworking Production Operative looking for an immediate start? Do you enjoy a varied, hands-on role where accuracy and attention to detail are important?
We are recruiting for a Production & Dispatch Operative to join a well-established security company based in Hitchin. This is a busy and varied position supporting both the production and dispatch areas, ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and sent out on time.
About the Role
As a Production & Dispatch Operative, you'll work as part of a friendly team preparing security products for customers. Your role will involve a mixture of light production, picking and packing, order checking and dispatch duties.
What You Will Be Doing
- Preparing products and customer orders
- Picking and packing items ready for dispatch
- Checking orders for accuracy before they leave the warehouse
- Labelling and packaging finished products
- Completing basic production and assembly tasks
- Preparing dispatch paperwork
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Moving stock and materials around the work area
- Carrying out basic quality checksKeeping production and dispatch areas clean, tidy and organised
- Supporting the wider team during busy periods
- Following Health & Safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous production, warehouse or dispatch experience is preferred
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
- Able to follow instructions and processes accurately
- Good team player with a positive attitude
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive tasks
- Available for an immediate start
