We are seeking an experienced Electrical Infrastructure Engineer to support the delivery of electrical and communications infrastructure for a major new village development in Scotland. This is an 18-month contract appointment, aligned with the infrastructure design and delivery programme.

Scope of Services

  • Design of 33kV and 11kV distribution networks.
  • Design of primary and secondary substations and transformers.
  • LV distribution network coordination.
  • ICT and communications infrastructure design.
  • Openreach-aligned duct and chamber layouts.
  • Coordination with SPEN and SSEN.
  • Technical submissions, drawings, and reports.
  • Support through construction and commissioning.

Regulatory Context

  • Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations (ESQCR).
  • BS 7671 - IET Wiring Regulations.
  • ENA Engineering Recommendations (including G81, G12).
  • SPEN / SSEN technical standards.
  • Openreach design guidance.

Required Experience

  • Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  • 33kV / 11kV network and substation design experience.
  • DNO liaison experience (SPEN / SSEN).
  • ICT / communications infrastructure coordination experience.
