Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing high-level strategic advice that balances legal risk with commercial objectives. Draft complex pleadings, witness statements, and instructions to Counsel; represent clients at hearings where appropriate. Supervise and mentor paralegals or junior fee‑earners, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their output. Ensure rigorous adherence to Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), court deadlines, and bespoke client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Commercial Performance & Business Development: Consistently meet or exceed individual monthly billing and time‑recording targets. Take full accountability for the financial lifecycle of files, including proactive WIP management, disbursements, and debt recovery on unpaid invoices. Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the firm’s landlord and tenant or debt recovery portfolio. Contribute to the firm’s profitability by optimizing file‑handling processes and ensuring cost‑effective matter management.
